[matt has a lot of pride - no pun intended - but he's not too proud to accept help, especially when he's this miserably hungover. he'll just send his address after the last offer. :')
it's to a surprisingly large home, cabin-style at least on the inside, and his car is the only one in the drive.
billy will probably be aware of the fact that his pack probably isn't far - but also that they won't care about him being there unless he starts making threats.]
[he's familiar enough with how packs work to have an idea. but he doesn't plan on hurting anyone without reason, and especially not on someone else's territory -- no reason to fear, at least for the moment, and he's not going to waste the energy if he doesn't have to.
he knocks loudly, before shifting one of the two covered travel mugs he's holding to his free hand, sipping at the other. he's not running himself down too much trying to solve this -- years of experience means has a decent idea of what he can and can't take -- but he is tiring himself enough that he's running on about twice as much coffee as usual.]
[matt looks both rumpled and unhappy when he answers the door. there's a lot to be said about werewolf healing - he'd watched his own bones knit back sickeningly before his eyes, after all - but they weren't safe from the residual effects of alcohol. his liver, maybe, but his head? absolutely not.
he steps back and waves him inside, turning to amble towards ones of the couches. it's an enormous living room, set up with two large sectionals in lieu of a television.]
[he'll press the full travel mug into Matt's hand almost immediately before following him in, looking around to take things in. shrugs languidly at the question, sloshing his own cup around before answering.] I'll take a refill before I turn around, if you've got any coffee.
[things snowball a little, in a way that's not uncommon for Billy when things are going on. one phone call leads to another, someone comes in with a question, and it's over an hour before he manages to get out of the office and on the road -- but he does manage to get out, which is saying something. it wouldn't be the first time he's arranged to take a night off, and then come downstairs just to check on one thing and ended up behind the bar.
but he does turn up eventually with two mismatched grocery bags, one which clanks audibly as he sets it down. he ignores any chairs in favor or dropping straight down into the grass with a groan, stretching his legs out in front of him.] Remind me that it's a bad idea to toss my phone in there.
[as promised, the house is quiet. there are a few lights on, and a bedroom curtain that ripples curiously when billy's car arrives in the drive, but it's just matt seated in a worn lawn chair out back, poking at the fire with a long, sturdy stick. he chuckles at the remark, shaking his head at it.
I should keep the line open. Just in case they set the place on fire or something. [he sounds resigned to the idea of something going wrong. better to expect it than be blindsided, right?
he goes to start digging in the bags, will toss a bag of marshmallows at Matt before pulling out a bottle.] How's your day going?
Productive weird, at least? [he takes a sip before grabbing one, offers the bottle to Matt before dropping back onto his elbows. trying to stretch out the tension a little while he has a chance.]
Nah, not really. Guy's a dick. Feel bad for his family, honestly. [but he'll grab the bottle, waving it dismissively.] Nothing too bad. Great beard, though.
So you're gonna make me work for it, is what I'm hearing. [matt gives him a little smile when he takes another drink, trying to indicate that he's just playing with him.]
[a shrug, but he's relaxed and visibly amused, clearly not bothered by it. he tips Matt a curious look, raising an eyebrow.] Should I bother asking what sort of people you're into?
[is he going to get an answer that isn't just flirting, is what he means.]
I dunno dude start seeing other people too i guess? i just know if i keep going at this rate im going to be extremely fucked up if i lose him in a couple years

[he rips the bag open, popping one of the marshmallows directly into his mouth before he sort of shakes it in billy's direction, an offer.]
